Pressure Control
Purpose
The IWCF Level 4 (Supervisor) Well Intervention Pressure Control (Subsea) course develops the advanced technical knowledge, situational awareness, and supervisory decision-making required to safely manage subsea well intervention pressure control operations.
This programme is designed for personnel in supervisory or management roles within subsea completions, workover, wireline, coiled tubing, and intervention operations. It includes compulsory training and assessment in Completion Equipment, Completion Operations, Wireline, Coiled Tubing, and Subsea Operations — fully aligned with the IWCF syllabus and ATT’s subsea delivery structure.
Wireline, Coiled Tubing, and Subsea Operations are delivered as core modules, replacing the previous optional structure. Day 3 covers Wireline and Coiled Tubing Operations, and Day 4 covers Subsea Intervention, including SIL, OWIRS, and TBRIS systems.
For delegates already holding an active IWCF Level 4 Well Intervention Pressure Control certificate, the subsea element can be added to their certificate through a standalone module.
Our IWCF Subsea Well Intervention Pressure Control course is delivered live through Microsoft Teams, providing a fully interactive virtual classroom led by ATT’s specialist instructors. Delegates receive access to an ATT Teams classroom immediately upon registration, where all course materials, joining instructions, and reminders are posted ahead of the start date.
Across four days of structured online training, delegates take part in presentations, discussions, worked examples, breakout activities, and daily knowledge checks. All resources are provided digitally, and attendance is recorded for IWCF compliance. The final IWCF assessment is completed online on Day 5, with full guidance provided during the course.

The curriculum follows the IWCF Level 4 syllabus and integrates expanded subsea-specific content:
Training Format
- Pre-course learning materials and training manual available upon registration
- 5 days of interactive classroom-based instruction (Monday–Friday)
- Daily LMS revision sessions (45 minutes)
- IWCF assessment conducted on Friday morning, 08:30–13:30

- Candidates must be pre-registered with IWCF and provide a valid 6-digit IWCF Candidate Registration (CR) Number.
- Prior IWCF certification is not required, but experience in an operator role during well services operations is assumed.

- Subsea completion / workover / intervention supervisors
- Well-site subsea completions / workover supervisors
- Wireline, slickline, or coiled tubing supervisors working on subsea wells
- Senior completions or well intervention engineers
- Well test supervisors on subsea assets
- Offshore installation managers (OIMs)
- Hydraulic intervention supervisors
IWCF Levels 2–4 are designed to be sequential. First-time candidates are normally expected to complete Level 2 before progressing to Levels 3 or 4. However, eligibility is role- and experience-dependent. Candidates unsure of their appropriate level should contact us for guidance.
