3. Bookings and Confirmation
3.1 All bookings are subject to availability and are not confirmed until you receive a written booking confirmation from ATT.
3.2 By completing a booking, the Booker confirms that all information provided — including delegate details and IWCF Candidate Registration (CR) numbers — is accurate and complete.
3.3 It is the Booker’s responsibility to ensure delegates meet any prerequisites stated for the course, including pre-registration with IWCF and possession of a valid CR number.
3.4 ATT reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking if prerequisites are not met or if the information provided is found to be incorrect.
4. Payment
4.1 Course fees are due in full at the time of booking unless a credit account or invoice arrangement has been agreed in advance with ATT.
4.2 All prices are quoted exclusive of VAT. VAT at the prevailing rate will be added to all invoices.
4.3 For group or corporate bookings invoiced separately, payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date, or before the course commences — whichever is sooner.
4.4 ATT reserves the right to withhold certification or course materials if full payment has not been received.
4.5 Late payment may incur interest at the rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate per annum under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
5. Cancellations and Transfers
Cancellations by the Delegate or Booker
Notice periods are calculated from the date ATT receives written notice of cancellation to the course start date.
| Notice period before course start | Refund / Charge |
|---|---|
| More than 28 days | Full refund, less a £50 administration fee |
| 8 to 28 days | 50% of course fee charged (50% refunded) |
| 7 days or less | Full course fee charged — no refund |
| Non-attendance (no-show) | Full course fee charged — no refund |
Transfers to an alternative date
5.1 One transfer to an alternative course date is permitted free of charge if requested more than 7 days before the course start date.
5.2 Transfers requested 7 days or less before the course start date will incur an administration fee of £50.
5.3 Transfers are subject to availability and must be used within 6 months of the original booking date.
Delegate substitutions
5.4 You may substitute a different delegate for the booked place at any time prior to the course start date at no additional charge, provided the replacement delegate meets all prerequisites. Please notify us as soon as possible at info@attraining.co.uk.
6. Consumer Cancellation Rights
6.1 This section applies only to Consumers — individuals booking training for personal use, not on behalf of a business or employer. Business and corporate bookings are governed by Section 5 only and do not carry the statutory rights described below.
6.2 Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, Consumers have the right to cancel a booking within 14 calendar days of the date of booking confirmation and receive a full refund, without giving any reason.
6.3 To exercise your right to cancel under this section, you must notify ATT in writing before the 14-day period expires. Written notice should be sent to info@attraining.co.uk with the subject line “Notice of Cancellation” and must include your name, booking reference, and the course booked.
6.4 Where a course is due to commence within the 14-day cancellation period, ATT will ask you to explicitly waive your statutory cancellation right at the point of booking. By ticking the confirmation at checkout, you acknowledge that the course begins before the cancellation period expires and you agree that your right to cancel is lost once the course has commenced. ATT’s commercial cancellation terms in Section 5 apply up to the point the course starts.
6.5 Where you have not waived your cancellation right and exercise it under clause 6.2, ATT will process a full refund within 14 calendar days of receiving your written cancellation notice, using the same payment method used for the original transaction.
6.6 The statutory cancellation right under this section is separate from, and in addition to, ATT’s commercial cancellation policy in Section 5. Where both apply, the statutory right takes precedence during the 14-day window.
7. Cancellations by ATT
7.1 ATT reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course due to insufficient enrolment, instructor unavailability, force majeure events, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
7.2 In the event of a cancellation by ATT, you will be offered a full refund of the course fee paid, or the option to transfer to the next available date.
7.3 ATT shall not be liable for any travel, accommodation or other costs incurred by the Booker or Delegate as a result of a cancellation or rescheduling by ATT. We strongly recommend delegates do not book non-refundable travel until they have received written confirmation of the course.
8. IWCF Registration and Certification
8.1 For IWCF-accredited courses, delegates must be pre-registered with IWCF and provide a valid 6-digit Candidate Registration (CR) number before the course commences.
8.2 It is the delegate’s responsibility to register with IWCF independently. ATT can provide guidance on this process but cannot register delegates on their behalf.
8.3 IWCF certification is conditional upon passing the IWCF assessment. ATT does not guarantee that any delegate will pass the assessment.
8.4 Assessment results will be submitted to IWCF by ATT following the course. The issue of certification is managed by IWCF and is subject to their processes and timescales.
8.5 IWCF registration fees are included in the course fee unless otherwise stated.
9. Delegate Conduct and Attendance
9.1 Delegates are expected to attend all sessions of their booked course. ATT cannot guarantee certification for delegates who miss any part of the programme.
9.2 Delegates must treat instructors, staff and fellow delegates with respect at all times. ATT reserves the right to remove any delegate from a course without refund if their conduct is deemed disruptive, offensive or unsafe.
9.3 Delegates must not be under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances during training. ATT operates a strict zero-tolerance policy.
9.4 Delegates are responsible for ensuring they arrive on time. Late arrival may result in exclusion from that session and may affect eligibility for certification.
10. Course Materials and Intellectual Property
10.1 All course materials, presentations, handouts and content provided by ATT are the intellectual property of Aberdeen Technical Training Ltd or its licensors.
10.2 Materials are provided for the personal use of the delegate only. They may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without the prior written consent of ATT.
10.3 Delegates may not record any part of the training sessions (audio, video or otherwise) without the prior written consent of ATT and all other participants.
10.4 Where a course includes access to our Learning Management System (Moodle), a personal learner account will be created for the delegate. Login credentials are personal to the delegate and must not be shared. Access is provided for the duration of the course and will be withdrawn following course completion. Course materials accessed through our Learning Management System (Moodle) remain subject to clauses 10.1–10.3.
10.5 Delegates must not attempt to copy, download, redistribute or otherwise remove course materials from our Learning Management System (Moodle) other than through the normal course of study, and must not attempt to circumvent any access controls on the platform.
11. Liability
11.1 ATT’s total liability to the Booker or Delegate in connection with a booking shall not exceed the course fee paid.
11.2 ATT shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss including loss of profit, business, revenue or goodwill.
11.3 Nothing in these Terms limits ATT’s liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11.4 ATT is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal belongings brought to the training venue.
11.5 ATT is not liable for any loss of access to our Learning Management System (Moodle) caused by factors outside our reasonable control, including internet connectivity issues on the delegate’s part or scheduled platform maintenance.
12. Health and Safety
12.1 Delegates are expected to comply with all health and safety requirements at the training venue.
12.2 Delegates must inform ATT of any medical conditions, disabilities or access requirements before the course commences so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
12.3 ATT will take reasonable steps to accommodate access and inclusion requirements, but reserves the right to refuse attendance where it would be unsafe to do so.
13. Data Protection
ATT processes personal data — including data collected through our Learning Management System (Moodle) — in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law. By making a booking, you consent to the processing of delegate personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, including the submission of candidate details and results to IWCF for certification purposes.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
15. Changes to These Terms
ATT reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version in force at the time of booking will apply. We recommend reviewing these Terms each time you make a booking.
